IPYG - Do you know chia seed?
Do you know chia seed?
Watching TV, I learned about chia seed by chance. So, I want to talk about its effect and the way to eat.
Chia seed is a seed of chia, South America’s super food. It is good for relieving fatigue, anti-age, special diet, avoiding adult’s illness, large intestine, regulation of blood glucose and antioxidant effect. In addition, it is rich in magnesium, omega-3 fatty acid, mineral, folic acid, potassium, calcium and dietary fiber. So if you keep eating it, it can help you stay healthy. How to eat chia seed. 1.Stir and fry for 1 to 3 minutes over a medium heat.2.Drink any beverages with this.(Chia seeds absorb water, so it makes you feel full.)3.Spread it on your bread. If chia seed is put in water, it will grow in size more than 10 times.Eat 1 part water to 6 part chia seed, after waiting 10-15 minutes. You can get it in any supermarkets for about $9~15.
Basil seed (reft), chia seed( right) -> after 8hours.
In this opportunity, I hope that you stay healthy and recover your shape.

IPYG logo
Below is a breakdown of the meaning behind our IPYG logo
White Dove
Key words: HOPE,
MESSENGER OF PEACE, ETERNAL TRUCE
Explanation:
Known to be a fairly hardy bird that can adapt and settle in almost any
environment, our dove represents the hope that peace too, will settle in all
nations. It also stands for the innocent, pure-hearted messengers of peace.
These messengers are our youth who are aiming to serve all mankind around the
world by mending the past and bringing peace. The white of the dove symbolizes
our sincere call for peace, surrendering in wars and calling an eternal truce.
Open Wings
Key words:
SELFLESS SERVICE, PROTECTION, EMBRACE ALL, INVITATION
Explanation: Our
message of peace and selfless service must stretch to the ends of the earth. We
aim to protect those who come after us from the wars humanity has suffered, and
we are embracing all religions, genders, cultures, languages with open arms and
inviting you to join us. When we can all work together peace will prevail in all
corners of our world.
On Top of Globe
Key words:
OWNERSHIP, DUTY, RESPONSIBILITY
Explanation: We
know that in order for things to change we need to take responsibility for our
words, our actions and for taking care of our communities. By taking ownership of
the world and all of its problems it falls upon our generation to be people who
do something truly great. With this mentality we will treat all life as though
it were our own.
Light Behind the
Dove
Key words:
SUPPORT, UNITE, NEW ERA
Explanation: All
of the heavens and earth are backing this work for peace, and supporting
positive change. This is symbolized through the light shining from behind the
dove. When each person embraces the light (cultures) of others, we can move and
work in unity, like the dawning of a new day to bring an eternally peaceful
era.
Blue Sky
Key words:
EQUALITY, VOLUNTEER, TRUST, CULTURE OF PEACE
Explanation: The
clear and bright, cloudless sky signifies a transparent trust that all nations
can share and dwell peacefully within. There are no wars, prejudices or
conflicts in the heavens only vast and endless life provided unconditionally,
regardless of our recognition or thanks. The life that heaven gives us through
light, air and rain are such simple forces of nature yet without these things
none of us can survive. This is a perfect example of a true volunteer, someone
whose human nature is to serve and love humbly and continuously. It is the
youth with this quality that will bring about a new, shared culture of peace.
Globe
Key words: ALL
NATIONS, RESTORE, HOME
Explanation: The
globe is a symbol of every nation, language and religion. Although we have our
unique differences we aim to break down the borders that divide us in wars. Our
pledge is to serve all people, without exception, to restore faith in humanity
and live in harmony. We breathe the same air, and walk the same earth - this
whole earth is ours, OUR HOME!
Korea Centered
on the Globe
Key words:
BIRTHPLACE, IPYG'S ORIGIN
Explanation:
Korea is the birthplace of IPYG, and the Declaration of World Peace was first
written and declared within South Korea, where our IPYG headquarters are

ipyg-(movie) Myeongryang
A movie has ever achieved the highest opening score and the highest one day score, and it has surpassed the 13 million-viewer-mark since its release on July 30. It has set new box-office records and has rewritten South Korean box office history. Four weeks after the film releases, according to the Korean Film Council integrated computer network standard, the movie is currently a No. 1 box-office hit. Attention is now focusing on the next record.
This is about the movie "Myeongryang" in the public eye. It’s about Korean Admiral Yi Sunsin, commanding his 12 fleets, succeeded in checking the Japanese aggression with 330 fleets. Although it's a familiar story to Korean, I thought that I did not know well while watching it. Throughout the movie with some of IPYG members, it made my heart ache.
The suffering of responsibility that only the leader can feel; the eagerness to protect my loving family from enemies; the fear that if one goes down in a second, everything would end up; the persuasion that helps people who are scared to get out in tunnel of fear; the position as a leader is so hard and serious.
It happened ages ago, but it will be the same to feel the horrors and fear of today’s wars. Both Korea and Japanese soldiers would feel the same fear. They were afraid, but had to fight to survive. And many soldiers died in the fight, whether their own naval forces won or lost. Even poor and powerless people died. I was genuinely sorry to watch this part as a member of the IPYG. The war broke out because of Japanese invasion. But, the dying people were all the young people and the powerless from both countries.
Finally, the Joseon Dynasty, led by General Yi, had a victory. The film ended with foretelling next battle. They took the victory, but then again there still were wars to come. It hurts me to think sacrifices in the battle. (It may be because I know the results of the past history.) Wars have continued ever since the beginning of mankind. But I hope you do not think it is out of our control. IPYG is making small gestures to show that war is not out of our control but we can handle (in other words, we can make it end). I hope our small gestures will cause Butterfly Effect and the day of peaceful world would come as soon as possible.

ipyg-Ice Bucket Challenge
Bill Gates
Symptom of Lou Gehrig's disease is that muscles are gradually getting weak and shrunk. In particular, as tongue muscles shrink partially, food enters into airway not into throat and it might lead to an accident. Unfortunately, muscles of the whole body become gradually paralyzed and then they pass away in a few years due to paralysis in breathing. As this disease affects only on respiration, patients have clear consciousness within an inch of their life. There are about 350,000 Lou Gehrig's disease patients in the world.
I think that the campaign is a good way to attract interest from people for assisting the patients. The one who is designated to participate in this campaign should pour ice water on themselves in 24hours or donate 100 dollars to the institution of ALS. Also, he or she keeps up this movement by appointing next three participants. As I mentioned, if the ones don’t pour ice water on them in 24 hours, they should fund 100 dollars. However, most participants take a wash down with cold water and donate to ALS institution too.
Celebrities in the world like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg poured water on themselves and donated. Popular soccer players and entertainer like Lionel Messi, Neymar, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo participated, too. The current President of U.S.A, Barack Obama was designated as the next participant, but donated 100 dollars instead of pouring water. Also, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin is a nominee. And the former President of USA, George W. Bush participated and then selected Bill Clinton as his next participant.
I hope this campaign wouldn’t be just a one-shot as it has a good purpose. And I look forward to seeing people have constant interest in Lou Gehrig's disease patients and help them. So, from this start, I hope the medicine is invented and the patients could be cured with it.

ipyg-Hope for someone and a pole of prayer
A pole of prayer named Sotdae in Korean is originated from a popular belief in Korea. This is from the period of the three Han States for the sacred district to serve the gods of heaven and earth.
That is a pole which is erected in the sacred district, Sodo. There is a story that the Korean pronunciation of Sodo had changed into the pronunciation of a pole Sotdae.
People prayed for a good harvest in villages every year, and a pole was also used with a pocket of rice seeds hung high.
People would sing and play music on the First Full Moon day.
When they did that, people believed that they would have a good harvest that year.
It was also used to guard the village along with a totem pole at the village entrance.
Besides, when there were events like passing the exam for civil service in the past, people painted a pole with the orange color and the top with blue, and tied a dragon at the tip of it.
It is not too much to say that the pole has gone through joys and sorrows with villagers.
Even though the pole started from the period of the three Han States, it was a hope for civilians before that period.
Through Korean history, the pole has given hope and courage to be connected with God.
It was set toward East for getting energy to be straight and fresh, toward North for getting strength to go through crisis and disaster, toward South for getting capability to be in harmony and communication, and toward West for getting power for productivity and wealth.
Also the pole was a symbol to prevent the fire and flood, and involved the hopes of people who look for living in peace.
It is always straight up toward the sky and gives us the power “Those hopes make us do the best.”
The pole is looking down from the top or looking up toward the sky.
What if you are a person like a pole?
It gives everyone hope, but it might also be hard because it has to stand up under the burning sunlight and wild wind sometimes.
However, it is true that harmony, good communication and peace require someone’s effort and sacrifice.
While I am looking at the pole, I thought IPYG and I would be that kind of organization and myself that will bring peace.
I wish effort of IPYG and I would make the world safer and happier.
